In respect to nursing profession, human dignity mainly reflects the aspects of privacy, autonomy and respect of the patients (Jacobs, 2016). Each and every individuals of the nursing profession have to abide by the principal of dignity of the patients where they have to ask for their consent, wait for their approval and make them know about the entire procedure and consequences of the treatment they apply to patients. On the other hand, each and every nurse has to abide by the two principles of beneficence and non maleficence for the betterment of the patients (Cheraghi, Manookian and Nasrabadi, 2014). By the principle of beneficence, nurses need to provide the safest care to patient, which brings the best outcomes on patient health ensuring patient safety and patient satisfaction. By the principle of non-maleficence, the nurse needs to cause no harm to patients. Therefore nurses should provide the best care plan which would not only help patients to get proper service, but also help them to get well and develop their life for betterment (Rehssfeldt et al., 2014). This is for helping the society to strive well and lead happy lives so that the nation gradually gets free from people sufferings for the common good. There has been always a matter of concern when a nurse has to face a dilemma when adhering to more than one principle at a time. There are cases where the patients themselves lose the hope to live or does not want to live anymore may be due to chronic physical suffering or due to severe mental disorders. Often many suffer from severe depression. Such patients request nurses not to help them to survive and this becomes a moral concern for the nurses as their duty is to save peoples lives. As this post explains, it depends on the interrelationships of those words. The simplest multiword phrasal adjective to construct is one in which a phrase such as â€Å"all or nothing† modifies a noun- simply hyphenate the string of words: â€Å"all-or-nothing ultimatum.† This rule holds true no matter how long the string is, though at a certain point, the writer or editor may decide that it is of a cumbersome length, in which case omitting hyphens and enclosing the string in quotation marks to suggest that the phrasal adjective is spoken will render it more readable, or recasting the sentence may improve clarity. But what if two of the words are already an open or hyphenated compound- a standing phrase that appears in the dictionary as such- or is a proper noun? In either case, the solution is to replace the hyphens linking every word with an en dash (–) linking the compound to an additional word. (An en dash is a symbol usually seen in number ranges, as in â€Å"The room accommodates 25–50 people depending on seating arrangement† or â€Å"Jones lived 1911–1987.†) This usage is clear when employed with proper nouns, as in â€Å"San Francisco ­Ã¢â‚¬â€œbased company† (as opposed to the absurd alternative â€Å"San-Francisco-based company†), where based obviously relates to â€Å"San Francisco,† not just Francisco, but it is also used in such constructions as â€Å"open standards–based solutions,† where â€Å"open standards† is a well-known phrase. Biological maturation theory This theory was proposed mainly by Gesell during the 1940s to describe a systematic manifestation of the physical and psychological development generally expected among children from the perspective that all children experience the same phases of development grounded on the natural maturation of their brain and body. The theory disregards influences from culture or individual differ ences (Levine and Munsch, 2011). As a child educator / paraprofessional, I do find enough utility in this theory because I observed that it places more weight on maturation rather than on learning. This observation was corroborated by Danielson (2007) whose main criticism of the biological maturation theory was that there is â€Å"too much emphasis on maturation and not enough on learning† (para. 41) Behaviorist theory The behaviorist theory focuses on what may be directly observed in the absence of a precise method of knowing what happens in an individual’s mind. Butts and Rich (2011) outlined that stimulus conditions both in the environment and the person’s behavior, as well as responses to such conditions are the only variables which can be observed in any learning situation. Additionally, Swim (2008) reported that this theory molds learning with the provision of rewards and punishment. Unlike the biological maturation theory, there are apparent uses of the b ehaviorist theory in teaching young children.
