Not just does the writer unequivocally place fault on human-related ozone harming substances, ruling out contention or different prospects, the wellsprings of these gases are explicitly named, further evacuating any opportunities for contention. (Prahalal, 1989) cer has confronted the test of contending in the primary changing data innovation industry. This has required it to reformulate its corporate procedures and change its hierarchical structures multiple times since the mid 1990s. The last two changes have happened inside a two-year time span to beat the rising inner issues and react to approaching outside changes. I n 1990, it endured an enormous misfortune in the abroad speculations. The Company was addressed of its proceeded with speculation designs in the abroad where it was doing severely at that point. It was even condemned as moving absolute first. The investors and the workers didn't offer a lot of help to the organization. The investors were furious that the cash they had so hard worked for was being lost to abroad activities. An answer must be reached at, absolute first if the shareholders’ cash was to be recuperated. The Company thought of another methodology of â€Å"global brand, neighborhood touch†. This tackled a large portion of the issues that Acer was experiencing at the time, for example, account brand, name picture, and the board effectiveness. In doing as such, it revised the standards of the old custom where worldwide organizations just went worldwide as opposed to concentrating with the neighborhood showcase as well. The organization needed to pay altruism and bring about additional costs. Luckily for the organization, both capital and workforce remained with it to battle for what's to come. The supervisory crews remained to work for Acer, while the investors of Counterpoint and Altos, sold their stocks in return for money. Over the long haul, the organization had the option to recuperate again. (Jack, 1970) At the point when Acer Company was still little, its internationalization was moderately fruitful. It completed its organizations without issues of stock and credit lines. Be that as it may, it needed to broaden credit lines and increment stock when it extended. This made it increment its working expense and it additionally brought about terrible obligations and stock brought about by wrong anticipating. Acer gradually tackled the issue by setting up its credit the board framework in nations where it has its activities. The Acer gathering has various points of interest and qualities that make it a main PC producing Company in Asia. In the first place, it keeps on tapping the desire to turn into the supervisor by giving dynamic forces to nearby administrators in Acer plants and workplaces around the globe and letting them run tasks like chiefs. This desire has stayed with the Acer solid in its tasks as it is guaranteed of compelling administration. Furthermore, Acer is one of a kind in the way that it has the ability to surrender control and dominant part responsibility for neighborhood tasks. This propels the development of the Company, expanding its benefits guaranteeing that the Company runs effectively. Thirdly, the Acer Company has new innovation for everybody. The Company guarantees that the new innovation it has is appreciated by everybody, and all over. The Company’s Vision has unequivocally brought this out. This draws in numerous clients which mean bigger benefits for the Company. (Prahalal, 1989) The Company has additionally its shortcomings. The Acer Company can't contend all alone in huge markets. North America and European markets are ruled by â€Å"big guns† like Intel and IBM. These Companies are far a lot greater than Acer. For Acer to coordinate this opposition, organization and securing of other IT organizations is a decent option for Acer. The upper hand of Acer is step by step leaving due too the presentation of web .This has made the division of work and capital vanish. The Company needs to adjust to the changing scene and grow new arrangement of strategies. (James, 1998)

Open-Editorial for Autonomy and Respect - myassignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about theOpen-Editorial for Autonomy and Respect. Answer: Clashes between the different principles of nursing have been reported by many healthcare professionals over years. The clash between maintaining of the human dignity and the maintenance of the nursing duties based on principles of beneficence and non maleficence is observed. With the gradual passing of years, the rights of human dignity has been identified as the sense of self worth and self respect possessed by an individual of the nation. Human dignity mainly encompasses the right to fill basic needs like food, shelter and personal safety. In respect to nursing profession, human dignity mainly reflects the aspects of privacy, autonomy and respect of the patients (Jacobs, 2016). Each and every individuals of the nursing profession have to abide by the principal of dignity of the patients where they have to ask for their consent, wait for their approval and make them know about the entire procedure and consequences of the treatment they apply to patients. On the other hand, each and every nurse has to abide by the two principles of beneficence and non maleficence for the betterment of the patients (Cheraghi, Manookian and Nasrabadi, 2014). By the principle of beneficence, nurses need to provide the safest care to patient, which brings the best outcomes on patient health ensuring patient safety and patient satisfaction. By the principle of non-maleficence, the nurse needs to cause no harm to patients. Therefore nurses should provide the best care plan which would not only help patients to get proper service, but also help them to get well and develop their life for betterment (Rehssfeldt et al., 2014). This is for helping the society to strive well and lead happy lives so that the nation gradually gets free from people sufferings for the common good. There has been always a matter of concern when a nurse has to face a dilemma when adhering to more than one principle at a time. There are cases where the patients themselves lose the hope to live or does not want to live anymore may be due to chronic physical suffering or due to severe mental disorders. Often many suffer from severe depression. Such patients request nurses not to help them to survive and this becomes a moral concern for the nurses as their duty is to save peoples lives. (Eskilsson et al., 2015). Nurses who are responsible to save lives of people are in turn requested not to provide any care treatment for them. Here nurses often suffers from dilemma that whether they should save the human dignity or they should maintain their duty of beneficence and non maleficence. The concern of the do not resuscitate is often argued in the medical fields and result in popular debates. While many experts feel that giving freedom to such people who do not want to live is in a way serving them for making them not suffer from the physical or mental pain. Moreover, they also are of the opinion that helping in the end of sufferings of people are in turn helping them to get free of sufferings. This is unaccepted for another set of experts who believe every life is a blessing and putting an end to it when there is a scope of better chance of making the patient service is unethical. These experts suggest that often sufferings make people weak where they no more want to live. However, saving such lives and helping them to make their lives better with evidence based interventions are much more preferable (Santorum, 2014). This argument can be thereby explained as a conflict between benefits of common good and respecting the human dignity. Although every nurse should use both the principles in their care plan but often they face issues with such incidents. These issues are of the main concerns where new nurses face difficulty to take decisions in such situations of ethical dilemma as they get nervous (Girard et al., 2017). However with the gradual handling of such incidents, nurses develop situational awareness where they can take decisions about how to proceed with the cases. Critical reasoning skills are one of the most important skills which help nurses to handle such situations bravely. Moreover the strict laws of protecting human rights which have been introduced by the nations to make the nurses abide by the ethical principles make the situations worse as often nurse get involved in legal complication due to this. Hence serving human dignity and benefits for common good often becomes a concern fo r nurses. References: Cheraghi, M.A., Manookian, A. Nasrabadi, A.N., (2014). How to Treat Complex Phrasal Adjectives

How to Treat Complex Phrasal Adjectives How to Treat Complex Phrasal Adjectives How to Treat Complex Phrasal Adjectives By Mark Nichol Numerous DailyWritingTips.com posts have addressed hyphenation of phrasal adjectives such as â€Å"long range† when they precede a noun, as in â€Å"long-range missile.† But what about when the phrasal adjective includes more than two words? As this post explains, it depends on the interrelationships of those words. The simplest multiword phrasal adjective to construct is one in which a phrase such as â€Å"all or nothing† modifies a noun- simply hyphenate the string of words: â€Å"all-or-nothing ultimatum.† This rule holds true no matter how long the string is, though at a certain point, the writer or editor may decide that it is of a cumbersome length, in which case omitting hyphens and enclosing the string in quotation marks to suggest that the phrasal adjective is spoken will render it more readable, or recasting the sentence may improve clarity. But what if two of the words are already an open or hyphenated compound- a standing phrase that appears in the dictionary as such- or is a proper noun? In either case, the solution is to replace the hyphens linking every word with an en dash (–) linking the compound to an additional word. (An en dash is a symbol usually seen in number ranges, as in â€Å"The room accommodates 25–50 people depending on seating arrangement† or â€Å"Jones lived 1911–1987.†) This usage is clear when employed with proper nouns, as in â€Å"San Francisco Ã¢â‚¬â€œbased company† (as opposed to the absurd alternative â€Å"San-Francisco-based company†), where based obviously relates to â€Å"San Francisco,† not just Francisco, but it is also used in such constructions as â€Å"open standards–based solutions,† where â€Å"open standards† is a well-known phrase. The risk in such usage is that readers will not recognize that the en dash is distinct from a hyphen and will (mis)understand the phrase to mean â€Å"standards-based solutions that are open.† This risk is exacerbated by the fact that the Associated Press Style Book, in its sometimes-misguided quest to simplify symbols, calls for a hyphen rather than an en dash in phrases like this, which could lead to such confusion. Another option is to use the hyphen-string approach in such phrases as â€Å"think-tank-inspired policies† (instead of â€Å"think tank–inspired policies†) or â€Å"soft-drink-soaked shirt† (rather than â€Å"soft drink–soaked shirt†), but better yet, try the more relaxed syntax presented, for example, in â€Å"policies inspired by think tanks† and â€Å"shirt soaked with a soft drink.† Want to improve your English in five minutes a day? Comparison Of Two Religions - Hinduism And Buddhism Essay

Comparison Of Two Religions - Hinduism And Buddhism - Essay Example Buddhism mostly advocates the use of meditation i.e. Prajna as one of the most important spiritual practices. Hinduism and Buddhism both are practiced today through their Temples and other places of worship. However, there is an increasing acceptance of Buddhist practices in West wherein modern practices are being adapted in the West. Hinduism, however, is being mostly practiced in India and Nepal with relatively increasing acceptance in the West also. For example, Buddhism is mostly associated with the Dalai Lama and most of the spiritual practices actually emerge from his center. Hinduism however, is also practiced in the relatively diverse way with followers visiting temples and performing rituals even within their own homes. Kumbh Mela is also one of the largest gatherings of Hindus for the pilgrimage through which the followers of Hinduism actually perform their rituals. Apart from this, various religious festivals are being performed in Hindu religion. The festivals of Holi, as well as Diwali, are two of the famous religious practices through which Hindus practice their religion. (Rinehart, 2004) Buddhism however, is being practiced through its various schools of thoughts and focuses more on the meditation as the most important way to practice. Important meditations and practices include Vappasana meditation as well as Zen practices. Apart from this, spending a monastic life is also another way to practice the religion wherein monks learn Vinaya- the specific moral code for Monks. (Armstrong, 2001)

Child develpoment Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Child develpoment - Essay Example In this context, child development is, therefore, not so much about teaching voluminous chunks of knowledge during the formative years or the so-called foundational stage. Rather, child development is about the methodical approach or the â€Å"how† in which such knowledge is taught to very young children to guide them through their natural and inherent development. This paper discusses four of the primary theories of child development as building blocks of developmentally appropriate knowledge based on the exposition of Swim (2008) in one of this week’s readings. Biological maturation theory This theory was proposed mainly by Gesell during the 1940s to describe a systematic manifestation of the physical and psychological development generally expected among children from the perspective that all children experience the same phases of development grounded on the natural maturation of their brain and body. The theory disregards influences from culture or individual differ ences (Levine and Munsch, 2011). As a child educator / paraprofessional, I do find enough utility in this theory because I observed that it places more weight on maturation rather than on learning. This observation was corroborated by Danielson (2007) whose main criticism of the biological maturation theory was that there is â€Å"too much emphasis on maturation and not enough on learning† (para. 41) Behaviorist theory The behaviorist theory focuses on what may be directly observed in the absence of a precise method of knowing what happens in an individual’s mind. Butts and Rich (2011) outlined that stimulus conditions both in the environment and the person’s behavior, as well as responses to such conditions are the only variables which can be observed in any learning situation. Additionally, Swim (2008) reported that this theory molds learning with the provision of rewards and punishment. Unlike the biological maturation theory, there are apparent uses of the b ehaviorist theory in teaching young children. It may be recalled that behaviorism supports the position â€Å"what is learned can be unlearned by modifying stimulus conditions in the environment or changing the response to stimuli† (Butts & Rich, 2011, p. 206). This area of behaviorism will be very helpful in teaching young children in breaking bad habits developed during their earlier years. However, I do not believe that banking on behaviorism alone will significantly facilitate the development of appropriate practice in child development. From experience, the behaviorist system of rewards and punishment does not leave any room for abstract thinking since it is categorized under the passive mode. Consequently, even if recent development in this area now classifies behaviorism in education as a reactive approach as indicated in Duczeminski (2009), learning still tends to be forced-fed to children rather than the children being given leeway to understand knowledge by the expl anations they retrieve from their interaction with the environment or from their own observation. My opinion is that proactive is best for children in the knowledge society. Cognitive development theory Under this model of child development, learning is centered on â€Å"perceptions, thinking, reasoning, memory, development changes, and processing of information that transpires within the learner† (as cited in Butts & Rich, 2011, p. 213). Swim (2008) describes this learning approach as one in which

Different Contexts In Communication Essay Example for Free

Different Contexts In Communication Essay †¢Social – When in a social environment you are more than likely around people who know your personality and how you communicate, if that is with jokey sarcasm, dramatic actions, being load, quietly thoughtful or any other way in which you may use your communicational skills. Because of the friendship you will have with these people and the want they feel to spend social time with you, they will understand your ways, accept them, and that is how you are able to be yourself in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. †¢Professional – Meetings, talking with other parents/members of staff/students/outside agencies. All require professionalism; the way in which you conduct yourself should be with a friendly, but not formal attitude. Respect, listening, interest and understanding should be shown by you in body language, questions, answers and possible solutions. In some of these meetings important issues can irises and it is important that no matter what the subject is you take a high interest at getting any issues dealt with, but always keeping the situation calm and none threatening. Sarcasm, inappropriate jokes and other behaviours should be left to use in your social time; this is not the place for informal attitudes, a professional stance is required, with a level amount of understanding and respect. †¢Cultural – If a meeting has been arranged with people of a different culture if possible a little research into acceptable communicational behaviour would help, but being careful not to assume a stereotype attitude. If there is going to be a language barrier, provisions should be made. In some cultures they have very different ideas on what is offensive and polite. For example shaking hands to me is a polite way to say hello and introducing yourself, but there are cultures that find this rude, along with eye contact, (which is a big way to show you are listening in our culture) also the way in which you may be dressed could cause affence. When any of these skills in which you should conduct yourself in are crossed, this could leave the other member in your party feeling offended, unable to have the confidence to express what they are feeling and lose the trust to be able to come to you with a problem again.

Measure For Measure :: essays research papers

Shakespeare's Measure for Measure can be seen as an early account of sexual harassment. While the issue of women's rights had hardly been explored at the time the play was first performed, Measure for Measure touches on issues of sexuality, independence, and the objectification of women. Despite these serious issues, the play is considered a comedy, and the story it tells is filled with amusing characters as well as broad sociological questions. The plot centers around the fate of Claudio, who is arrested by Lord Angelo, the temporary leader of Vienna. Angelo is left in charge by the Duke, who pretends to leave town but instead dresses as a friar to observe the goings-on in his absence. Angelo is strict, moralistic, and unwavering in his decision-making; he decides that there is too much freedom in Vienna and takes it upon himself to rid the city of brothels and unlawful sexual activity. Laws against these behaviors and institutions already exist, and Angelo simply decides to enforce them more strictly. Claudio is arrested for impregnating Juliet, his lover, before they were married. Although they were engaged and their sexual intercourse was consensual, Claudio is sentenced to death in order to serve as an example to the other Viennese citizens. Isabella, Claudio's sister, is about to enter a nunnery when her brother is arrested. She is unfailingly virtuous, religious, and chaste. When she hears of her brother's arrest, she goes to Angelo to beg him for mercy. He refuses, but suggests that there might be some way to change his mind. When he propositions her, saying that he will let Claudio live if she agrees to have sexual intercourse with him, she is shocked and immediately refuses. Her brother agrees at first but then changes his mind. Isabella is left to contemplate a very important decision. Isabella is, in a way, let off the hook when the Duke, dressed as a friar, intervenes. He tells her that Angelo's former lover, Mariana, was engaged to be married to him, but he abandoned her when she lost her dowry in a shipwreck. The Duke forms a plan by which Isabella will agree to have sex with the Angelo, but then Mariana will go in her place. The next morning, Angelo will pardon Claudio and be forced to marry Mariana according to the law. Everything goes according to plan, except that Angelo does not pardon Claudio, fearing revenge.

New Zild

? New Zealand English (NZE) which is now known as â€Å"New Zild† is an exciting and newfangled language they speak in New Zealand. New Zild is forever evolving-forming new, abbreviated ways of speech. Their shared language – Te Reo/English makes up their unique, lucid dialect, which unites them as a country and distinguishes them from the rest of the world, this is a great aspect as their language will be fancied in the future. New Zealand English is the newest most fascinating language in the world today. New Zild is the only language that can be tracked since its birth over two centuries ago. The dialogue is forever evolving, changing and advancing. New Zealand English is a continuously developing speech. What makes this language so exclusive is that you can use available resources to show the developing and unfurling of it. Although characteristic features of New Zealand English have evolved from British English, there are no longer any dominant influences. New Zild forms and illustrates a Kiwi, who creates their own language, being New Zild. Their strong accent is greatly noticed overseas. Foreigners find New Zild bizarre, as they talk faster than, they do. Although New Zealand English is closely related Australian English also known as ‘strine’ but they have their individuality, as New Zealanders do. America has major influence in all the languages, including New Zild. American English is the most influential language of the world. The trends it sets are spread by mass communications around the globe, for example, television, movies and music. American English can have a negative impact depending on the kind of influence being portrayed, for example, teenagers listening to rap music, the lyrics or words expressed may have meaning, but would their parents like them talking like the rapper? American English also has a positive impact on New Zild as it creates new characteristics and majorly influences the development of New Zealand English. The American English greatly affects young New Zealanders as they may speak an even stranger language than their elders. Their speech has been hugely influenced which all contributes to the future. The dialect of the younger population is different, therefore change naturally occurs. New Zealand’s younger generation being teenagers forms many, new colloquialisms, increasing yet decreasing their vocabulary. According to Jennifer Hay in Denis Welch’s Listener article, â€Å"By the time someone is seven or eight, it doesn’t matter where their parents came from, they’re speaking like their friends at school. † Older New Zealanders are trying to adapt to the teenage dialect, after all they are the voices of the future. Their dialogue will be the future New Zealand’s English, as the new vocabulary, colloquialisms work their way from the bottom of the social heap to the top. The tremendous variety of languages composed in New Zealand is another impact. New Zild is an exciting language as it includes an assortment of influences from these solitary vocal influences. Maori have changed the way New Zealanders speak because words and sayings from Te Reo have been absorbed into the vocabulary spoken today. There are some Maori who can speak both English and Maori beautifully. Years ago only 1/1000 Maori words spoken were fully understood in New Zealand English, now 6/1000 Te Reo words spoken are understood in New Zealand English. Could this be renaissance? Including Te Reo, there is also one other contributing factor to New Zealand English, such as Pacific Island dialect. Te Reo and the pacific input combined, greatly influence New Zealanders speech and pronunciation of different words. New Zild is the most innovative, peculiar language. New Zealand English is the only language in the world that can be documented from the beginning which helps predict future dialect. Along with the growing Te Reo pronunciation New Zild is evolving into something that is very interesting and distinctly theirs.
